EVE OF THE FIRST SPARK

We want to thank everyone who joined us for our fundraising gala, this year! MAD Company and Living Room Productions collaborated for Eve of the First Spark: a spring fundraising event celebrating new work, new collaborations, and the artists who bring them to life.
As the season shifted, we gathered on April 30th to support the creation of both companies’ next projects, including Living Room Productions’ "Twelfth Night: 1941" and MAD Company’s "Sleepy Hollow" audio drama.
WARS OF THE ROSES
JUNE 2026
MAD Company is producing an episodic audio drama adapted from Henry VI Parts I, II, III and Richard III. This is the story of the War of the Roses: a brutal, dynastic battle for England’s throne filled with betrayal, ambition, and bloodshed.
Adapted by company member Keara Dooley, four of Shakespeare’s histories have been distilled into a gripping series that makes every twist, turn, and treachery easy to follow. With non-traditional casting and cinematic sound design, this isn’t Shakespeare the way you read it in school; this is Shakespeare like you’ve never heard before.
